Old Stonewall Sangiovese is a single paddock italian wine produced from imported Sangiovese Brunello vines. The wine is light with ripe berry flavours.
This wine celebrates the old stonewall built on the property in the late 1800’s by farmers and drovers. The wine exhibits cinnamon and cloves, strawberry, mint and vanillin characters. This medium bodied Sangiovese wine is soft and supple.
We have two acres of Sangiovese – Brunello grapes planted on the property, near Wollombi in the Hunter Valley. The “Old Stone Wall” was our first vintage, bottled in 2007.
