Australia Day Long Weekend Showjumping and Cross Country

with Sam Lyle and Jessica Rae
at Fernances Creek Farm 
Join us on the Australia Day Long Weekend at Fernances Creek and train with two highly regarded coaches and riders.
Train for your next competition or bring a new horse for training. This weekend will be packed full of riding, followed by a heavy dose of relaxation in the Clubhouse with a nice lunch prepared each day for you by Fernances Creek.  There is an optional dinner on Saturday in the Clubhouse or you can travel 10 minutes down the road to the GNTP(Great Northern Trading Post) for dinner. Breakfast is BYO although there will be complimentary muffins, coffee and tea available Saturday and Sunday morning.
Over 80 jumps including a waterjump, ditches and lots of related lines and colour. There is plenty of room to gallop and you can ride a full course.
Bring your non-rider friends and family to watch the action,enjoy lunch and a spot of photography. This clinic caters for riders from 45cm -1.05. This is a great clinic to bring a new horse, gain confidence or to sharpen your skills and to train for an upcoming event. The great thing about the long weekend is that you can have 2 full days of riding with an extra day to travel home.
There is camping,yards and 2 luxury tents available.
Note:  There is a discount for entering both days (Check a class for each day on entry to receive the discount)
Day 1: 2 hours of Showjumping and 2 hours of Cross Country Instruction
Day 2- 2 X 1.5 hours of Riding (Instruction and Rounds on the Courses (SJ/XC) To be decided by each group.
NOTE: YOU MUST BOOK CAMPING,MEALS AND YARDS WHEN YOU ENTER. CAMPING CHARGES COVER WATER, TOILETS AND OTHER AMMENITIES.
NOTE: THE CLASS TIMES ARE SET AND CANNOT BE CHANGED. MAXIMUM 6 RIDERS PER GROUP.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE AN EA MEMBER OR JOIN OUR CLUB FOR 30.00(PER YEAR)

Sam Lyle

Chef d’Equipe Young Rider Australian Eventing Team, 2015 Oceania Eventing Championships

Sam Lyle is assistant coach to Australia’s eventing team. This has included being the assistant coach on two Trans-Tasman teams (2005, 2006), a World Championship Team (2006) and head coach for the Australian Young Rider team (2012). In 2008 Sam was the Assistant Australian coach for eventing at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Sam is an Equestrian Australia NCAS Level 3 Coach and holds a Masters of Education Studies (Sports Coaching) from Sydney University.

Sam, who has a Masters in Sports Coaching from Sydney University and is a Level 3 Coach, was Assistant Coach for the Australian eventing team at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and the 2006 World Equestrian Games, so is no stranger to the coaching role while Will, also a Level 3 Coach, is one of the most popular eventing coaches for riders of all ages and abilities in Australia and also coaches regularly in Japan

About Jessica Rae
Jess Rae

Jess Rae is a professional rider, horse trainer and coach at the 3*** level of eventing and at the top levels of show jumping. She continues to produce high level wins on a range of horses in showjumping and eventing.

Jess consistently produces successful results with the horses she rides. Jess also has a talent for troubleshooting and addressing horse and rider issues .She is a sought after EA NCAS Level 1 Coach and is based on the Central Coast.

About the Clinic

On arrival, register at the clubhouse. There will be  hot coffee/tea on arrival. You can refill your water bottle in the clubhouse. Tack up at least 10 minutes before your class. There are warm up areas in the showjumping and cross country area. Do not jump anything until the instructor arrives.

There is camping on Friday , Saturday  and Sunday night. When you camp, you have access to the ammenties in the clubhouse. Campers should bring their own breakfast items but there will be complimentary hot coffee/tea and baked good for riders on Saturday and Sunday morning.

On Saturday, each rider will receive 2 hours of showjumping training  and 2 hours of cross country training and a hot lunch. Sunday will include rounds on the course as part of the training. Additional lunches for non-riders must be purchased at the time of rider entry only.

For Saturday night campers there will be a dinner which must be booked when you enter or you can go to the GNTP pub.(10 minutes away)

For Saturday night campers bring your own breakfast /snack items for Sunday. There will be complimentary coffee and tea.

On Sunday,. Lunch wil be served for riders. Please book additional lunches for non-riders when you enter

We have two (only) luxury tents available. There are limited yards,stables and paddocks available and will be on a first come,first serve basis. You can bring your own yards. 

Note:

If you arrive on Friday night, there is a pub for dinner about 10 minutes away.(GNTP Great Northern Trading Post) The food and atmosphere are good.

NOTE: THE CLASS TIMES AND NUMBERS ARE FIXED. IF YOU MISS YOUR CLASS, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER CLASS IF IT IS FULL.

NOTE: WE HAVE 13 YARDS BY THE CLUBHOUSE AND THEY ARE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME BASIS. OTHER OPTIONS ARE SHARED PADDOCKS AND “BRING YOUR OWN YARDS”.
