For the past few years we have been running clinics and events at Fernances Creek Riding Club and also offering our facilities to instructors and groups.
We have also offered the Clubhouse and deluxe tents on Air B&B . The Back Forty Cottage has also been under construction and will now also be available
on Air B&B.
The big news is that we will be offering a Ride & Stay package for groups of 4 to 12 people . The package will include accommodation and use of our cross country course, showjumping,
and sometimes the clubhouse. You will be able to bring your horse and stay at with us for two nights or more. You must have your own horse and be a current Equestrian Australia Member.
Imagine a few days away with your friends, family or riding group enjoying a chilled out time riding, BBQ and relaxing in the country with your horse!
The Back Forty Cottage sleeps 6 with 1 queen sized bed, 2 king singles and a pull out queen sofa bed. The cottage is open plan with a large gourmet kitchen, large bathroom and chill out
deck area overlooking our quiet, beautiful paddocks and rural setting. There are yards for your horses in the vineyard with plenty of water for drinking or hosing off. We can also offer stables on special request.
If you have a bigger group, you can also book the Clubhouse which has one queen bed inside. The Clubhouse has a full kitchen, bathroom, shower, BBQ and seating area and fireplace. We also have two deluxe tents that sleep four. Comfortable beds and bedding are all provided and will ensure a great nights sleep.
The only requirements are that riders must be currently insured with Equestrian Australia(EA) and stay a minimum of two nights.
If you are not an EA member, you are still able to ride if a qualified EA/NCAS instructor is with you. If you are not a rider, then there are no
requirements except to enjoy your stay.
The best thing about a weekend away at Fernances Creek is that you can also take some time to visit Wollombi, Laguna or even the Hunter vineyards.
You can also book dinners at some of the local restaurants, go to the market, a play or an art show. All of local events are listed on the Visit Wollombi website.
